Analysis of the use of dietary supplements in patients with breast cancer

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se analyzuje užívání doplňků stravy u pacientů s nádorovým onemocněním prsu. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na anatomii a fyziologii prsu, etiologii, diagnostiku, léčbu, prevenci nádorového onemocnění prsu. Dále je teoretická část zaměřena na vybrané účinné látky doplňků stravy. Ve výzkumné části práce byla provedena analýza užívání účinných látek doplňků stravy u pacientů s aktuálním nádorovým onemocněním prsu a u pacientů s nádorovým onemocněním prsu v minulosti. Dále byla provedena analýza doporučování užívání vybraných účinných látek doplňků stravy u respondentů, kteří navštívili webové portály z důvodu nádorového onemocnění v rodině, anebo se na portálech v problematice nádorového onemocnění prsu jen vzdělávali.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of patients with a breast cancer and their using of supplements. The theoretical part is focused on the anatomy and physiology of the breast, the etiology, diagnosis, treatment and the cancer prevention. This chapter also includes selected potent substances of dietary supplements. The practical part of the thesis contains an analysis of the use of active ingredients of food supplements in patients who do currently have breast cancer and in patients who had dealt with breast cancer in the past. Furthermore, an analysis of the recommendation of the use of selected active substances of food supplements was performed for respondents who visited web portals due to cancer in the family or were only educated on the portal in the field of breast cancer.
