Discount servers/portals as a part of Business Models of the Selected Companies

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to investigate discount server iDeals, as a part of a Business Model of Bank of Georgia. Starting with the proper analysis of the country, and making PEST analysis of Georgia, as well as describing all the technical aspects of the work of the discount portals, the author moves on to the comparison of iDeals with other, international discount portals, as well as direct competitor discount servers on the local market, to underline its advantages and disadvantages and differences in the conducting of such a specific kind of business. Moreover, qualitative research is used in the practical part, namely focus group, which is held considering active customers of the discount portal – iDeals, to identify other pros and cons, and receive an overall image for the possibility to come up with the recommendations for further development of the discount server iDeals, which is incorporated in the business model of Bank of Georgia.
