Consequences of Covid Crisis on Functioning of Vaclav Havel Airport Prague and Airlines in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na objasnění dopadů, vzniklých pandemií Covid-19, na provoz Letiště Václava Havla Praha a leteckých přepravců v Česku. Teoretická část se orientuje na studium odborné literatury týkající se krizového řízení podniku a řízení lidských zdrojů. V rámci této sekce je hlavním zaměřením pochopení konceptu krize v podnikovém prostředí a strategie jejího efektivního řešení. Důraz je rovněž kladen na význam řízení lidských zdrojů pro fungování podniku. Praktická část je věnována představení zkoumaných subjektů a samotné pandemii Covidu-19. V praktické části také analyzuji dopady, které měla pandemie na fungování Letiště Václava Havla Praha a také na největšího leteckého přepravce v České republice. K získání potřebných dat jsem využil kvantitativní i kvalitativní metody.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the functioning of Václav Havel Airport Prague and airlines in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is focused on the study of literature related to crisis management and human resources management. Within this section, the main focus is on understanding the concept of crisis in the corporate environment and strategies for effective resolution. Emphasis is also placed on the importance of human resources management to the functioning of the enterprise. The practical section is devoted to the background of the subjects under study and the Covid-19 pandemic itself. In the practical section, I also analyse the impact that the pandemic had on the functioning of the Václav Havel Airport Prague and Smartwings. Qualitative research methods, specifically in the form of interviews and direct observation, were used to obtain the necessary information. I also used the method of content analysis.
