HOMO-ANIMAL. Opposition and complementarity. In the circle of considerations about the hybrid theme.

Abstract:

The main objective of the following work is to analyze the ways of presenting the hybrid themes in cultural text over the years. The first chapter introduces the changing nature of the role of animals in human life as entities that have almost always been in opposition to humans. It explains the reason for the existence of the hybrid phenomenon, drawing on myth, folklore and religion to highlight the earliest representations of hybrids in human history. The second chapter focuses on reinterpretations of this theme in pop culture. The last part contains the story of the small hybrid community designed by author and describes their creative visualizations of the entire artistic project for the computer game. The work presents an analysis of the hybrid themes based on numerous cultural texts, showing the diversity of this phenomenon.

Abstract:

Celem pracy jest przeanalizowanie sposobów ukazywania motywu hybrydy w tekstach kultury na przestrzeni lat. Pierwszy rozdział wprowadza w zmieniającą się z czasem istotę roli zwierząt w życiu człowieka jako byty stojące niemal od zawsze w opozycji do ludzi. Wyjaśnia powód istnienia fenomenu hybrydy, sięgając przy tym do mitów, folkloru oraz religii, aby podkreślić najwcześniejsze przedstawienia tego zjawiska w historii ludzkości. Drugi rozdział skupiony jest na reinterpretacjach motywu hybrydy w popkulturze. Ostatnia część opowiada historię wymyśloną przez autora o niewielkiej społeczności hybryd oraz opisuje twórcze wizualizacje całego artystycznego projektu do gry komputerowej. Praca przedstawia analizę fenomenu hybrydy na bazie licznych tekstów kultury, ukazując różnorodność tego zjawiska.
