"Interactive map: new regions of France"

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a new teaching material about contemporary regions of mainland France for a target group, consisting of bilingual schools and university students, who are learning French. The teaching material should correspond to all needs of the target group and give a comprehensive overview of basic information about French regions. The first section provides all potentially useful information about regions by category: general information, geographical background, history, economic context and culture. After that, in the analytical part, we carried out an evaluation of the needs of the target group and an assessment of the current existing material about the topic. As a result, we decided to make the educational material presented as an interactive map. The practical part of the work describes the work procedures of creating the educational material: methods used to transform scientific text into a text suitable for teaching, as well as working with software used to create the interactive map. The map contains basic information and interesting facts about each region of mainland France. It can be used both in geography classes and for self-study. It corresponds to the language level of the target group, it is shared on the Internet and open to all interested users. It is possible to edit the map and update the information (in case, that university provides a permission).

Abstract:

Cílem dané bakalářské práce je vytvořit nový výukový materiál o současných regionech pevninské Francie pro cílovou skupinu, která se skládá ze studentů bilingvních gymnázií a vysokých škol, kteří se učí francouzsky. Výukový materiál by měl odpovídat potřebám cílové skupiny a dávat komplexní přehled základních informací o regionech. V první řadě byly nachystané veškeré potenciálně užitečné informace o regionech podle jednotlivých kategorií: základní údaje, geografický profil, dějiny, ekonomický profil a kultura. Poté byla v analytické části práce provedena analýza potřeb cílové skupiny a zhodnocení současného stavu již existujících materiálů o tématu, na základě které došlo k rozhodnutí, že výukový materiál bude vytvořen ve formátu interaktivní mapy. V praktické části práce jsou popsány postupy tvorby výukového materiálu: použité metody přetvoření odborného textu do textu vhodného pro výuku a práce s programovým vybavením, použitým pro tvorbu interaktivní mapy. Mapa obsahuje základní informace a zajímavá fakta o každém regionu pevninské Francie. Může být použita jak v hodinách zeměpisu, tak při samostudiu. Odpovídá jazykové úrovni cílové skupiny, je sdílená na internetu a otevřená pro všechny zájemce. Mapu je rovněž možné upravovat a aktualizovat informace (v případě poskytnutí určitých přístupových oprávnění univerzitou).
