Tato diplomová práce zkoumá romány karibské spisovatelky Jean Rhys. Tématem práce je identita a migrace v jejím díle.Předmětem analýzy je pět románů – Quartet (1928), After Leaving Mr Mackenzie (1930), Voyage in the Dark (1934), Good Morning, Midnight (1939) a Wide Sargasso Sea (Širé Sargasové moře, 1966). Abstract:
This thesis analyses five novels written by an acclaimed Caribbean writer, Jean Rhys, namely Quartet (1928), After Leaving Mr Mackenzie (1930), Voyage in the Dark (1934), Good Morning, Midnight (1939) and Wide Sargasso Sea (1966). The aim of this thesis is to explore the impact of colonialism and patriarchy on Rhys's heroines.
