Social behavior of employees and organizations in an environment of McDonald's restaurants

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá institucionalizovanými způsoby organizace práce a každodenní praxí zaměstnanců ve vybraných restauracích nadnárodní korporace McDonald´s. Sleduje, jaké strategie používá korporace k socializaci, vzdělávání a disciplinaci svých zaměstnanců. Důležitým bodem je zde vliv nepřítomnosti odborových organizací na sociální realitu v prostředí restaurací McDonald´s. Pozornost bude věnována také ekonomické politice restaurací. Práce je založena na vlastním antropologickém výzkumu. Hlavní metodou je zde zúčastněné pozorování a rozhovory se zaměstnanci.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on institutionalized ways of work organization and everyday practice of employees in some selected restaurants of supranational corporation McDonald´s. It observes strategies which the corporation uses for socializing, education and disciplination of employees. The important point is how the absence of trade unions affects the social reality in McDonald´s restaurants environment. It will also focused on economic policies of restaurants. The thesis is based on my own anthropological research. The main method is participant observation and also interviews with employees.
