Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o tématu etiky ve vybraných profesích. Nejprve je vysvětlen pojem slova "etika" z historického hlediska a jak jej dnes chápeme v souvislosti s podnikáním. Práce je dále zaměřena na oblast auditu, jejímuž vývoji z historie až do současnosti se také věnuje. Posléze se zaměřuje na možnosti a dopady porušování etiky auditory v kontextu hospodářské kriminality, a to na příkladu velkých účetních skandálů. V závěrečné části jsou porovnávány etické kodexy zvolených profesí a je poukázáno na jejich vývoj, přednosti či nedostatky.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the topic of ethics within chosen professions. First the concept of the word "ethics" is explained from the historical point of view until today's comprehension of the word related to enterpreneurship. Then the work discusses area of audit of which the term is also explained from history until the present day. Eventually the thesis defines possibilities and consequences of ethics violations by auditors in context of economic crimes, all on the example of big accounting scandals. The final section compares the ethical codes of selected professions and a reference is made to their development, advantages and disadvantages.
