Types and incidence of lower extremity joint injuries in recreational tennis athletes.

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývala typem a výskytem zranění dolních končetin u rekreačních tenistů. V rámci metod bylo využito dotazníkové šetření, které bylo respondentům zasláno v elektronické podobě pomocí sociálních sítí a e-mailu. Cílem této práce bylo zjistit četnost zranění u specifické skupiny rekreačních tenistů ve věku od 18 do 70 let a zároveň poukázat na nejčastější zranění dolních končetin a porovnat stav hlezenního kloubu mezi pohlavími. Pro analýzu a zpracování byl využil program MS Excel 2010. Celkově se do výzkumu zapojilo 52 rekreačních tenistů (31 mužů a 21 žen) s průměrným věkem 47 let u mužů a 41 u žen. Průměrná doba hraní bylo srovnatelná u obou pohlaví a činila 21 let aktivního hraní tenisu. Bylo zjištěno, že nejčastější zranění v součtu obou pohlaví je zranění hlezenního kloubu, což byla výstupní hodnota pro výpočet skóre dotazníku FAOS. Celkově jsou muži hodnoceni 66,9 body a ženy 83,5 body, což značí, že větší deformaci kotníku pociťují muži. Významného rozdílu si můžeme všimnout u sportovní činnosti, kdy muži s celkovými 52,1 a ženy se 77,5 body uvedli, že nejvíce trpí na zranění kotníku právě v této kategorii. Ukázalo se, že většina rekreačních tenistů trpí chronickým zraněním. Nejrizikovějším povrchem pro vznik zranění se ukázal antukový povrch, žádné rozdíly nebyly zaznamenány mezi kobercem a tvrdým povrchem.

Abstract:

This paper looked at the type and incidence of lower limb injuries in recreational tennis players. The methods used a questionnaire survey sent to respondents in electronic form using social networks and e-mail. The aim of this thesis was to determine the injury rate in a specific group of recreational tennis players aged between 18 to 70 years, while pointing out the most common injuries to the lower limbs and comparing the condition of the mucus joint between the sexes. MS Excel 2010 was used for analysis and processing. Overall, 52 recreational tennis players (31 men and 21 women) with an avarage age of 47 years for men and 41 for women participed in the research. The average playing time was comparable between the sexes and was 21 years of active tennis. The most Common injury in the sum of the two sexes was found to be an injury to the mucos joint, which was the endpoint for calculating the FAOS. Overall, men are rated at 66.9 points and women at 83.5 points, indicating that men experience greater ankle deformity. A significant difference can be seen in sporting activities, where men with a total of 52.1 and women with 77.5 points reported that they suffer most from ankle injuries in this category. It turns out that most recreational tennis players suffer from chronic injuries. The most risk surface proved to be the most hazardous surface for injury, with no discrepancies between carpet and hard surface.
