Preparing of a check-list for epiphytic mosses of Orthotrichum s.str. in South America

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje kritickému zhodnocení diverzity druhů rodu Orthotrichum s. str. na kontinentu Jižní Ameriky. Po prostudování literárních a herbářových dat byl aktualizován check-list rodu Orthotrichum s. str. pro území Jižní Ameriky a následně byl vytvořen determinační klíč. Neméně důležitou součástí této práce je stručný popis morfologických znaků jednotlivých druhů, jejich ekologie a rozšíření studovaných taxonů v Jižní Americe.

Abstract:

This bachelor is focus on the critical evaluation of diversity of species of the genus Orthotrichum s. str. on the continent of the South America. After literatury review and herbarium data revision, a checklist of the genus Orthotrichum s. str. was updated for the territory of South America and a new identifying key was prepared. One of the important part of this work is a short description of morphological features of individual species, ecological requirements and species distribution in the South America.
