Abstract:

Tourism nowadays confronts a significant challenge: it is overly focused on constant expansion. The difficulty is that the ongoing drive for more visitors and expansion is incompatible with sustainability, which necessitates environmental and resource protection. Therefore, the present aim to Determine the impact of Sustainable Tourism Practices on Tourist Satisfaction in Gujarat State. It aims to understand how eco-friendly initiatives and responsible tourism practices influence the overall travel experiences of tourists. Data is collected making use of structured questionnaire. The results reveal that there is awareness regarding practices like Cleanliness campaign, promotion of locally manufactured products and digital services. However, awareness gaps regarding financial support for green tourism, availability of eco-friendly infrastructure have been identified. The perception regarding sustainability showcases mixed response with positive for Culture Promotion, digitalization, community involvement, while concerns for environmental management and infrastructure. Awareness & Perception both significantly influence satisfaction, affecting revisit and recommendation intentions. Gender is found to have a significant impact on satisfaction, while age and nationality have a negligible effect on awareness. The research concludes that sustainable tourism practices play an important role in enhancing tourist satisfaction and promoting positive behavioral intentions. While suggestion for improving infrastructure visibility, awareness dissemination and service consistency needs to be strengthened. It provides policymakers and tourism stakeholders a meaningful insight for the development of successful strategies for sustainable tourism practices.
