Possibilities of economization of current artistic creation

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se soustředí na ekonomizaci aktuální umělecké tvorby, především na prosazování a pracovní uplatnění začínajících umělců. Procesem ekonomizace se mění role umění ve společnosti a v každodenním životě jednotlivců a komunit. V první, teoretické části práce, jsou definovány základní pojmy potřebné pro pochopení dané problematiky. Praktická část práce srovnává využitelnost informací z teoretické části pro začínající českou uměleckou scénu na základě získaných podkladů poskytnutých v současnosti tvořícími umělci. V práci byla využita kvalitativní výzkumná metoda založená na polostrukturovaných osobních rozhovorech s absolventy vybraných vysokých uměleckých škol. Pohled umělců je také rozšířen o rozhovor s galeristkou, která pomáhá prosazovat začínající umělce. Na základě získaných poznatků jsou sledovány hlavní tendence vývojových změn v umělecké profesi a je provedeno celkové zhodnocení.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the economization of current artistic creation, especially on the promotion and employment of beginning artists. The process of economization changes the role of art in society and the daily lives of individuals or communities. In the first, theoretical part of the work, the basic concepts needed to understand the issue are defined. The practical part of the work compares the usability of information from the theoretical part for the emerging Czech art scene based on acquired data provided by currently creating artists. The work used a qualitative research method based on semi-structured personal interviews with graduates of selected art colleges. The artists' perspective is also expanded to include an interview with a gallerist who helps promote young artists. Based on the acquired knowledge, the main tendencies of developmental changes in the artistic profession are monitored and an overall evaluation is performed.
