Abstract:

Počátek 20. století je pro umění české knihy ve znamení obrody. Vedle dekorativního a symbolistního přístupu, se k její výzdobě ve 20. letech 20. století začíná vyjadřovat obsahovou ilustrací i Jan Rambousek. Tato práce Rambouskovu knižní tvorbu ve vymezeném období dvacátých let nejen systematizuje, ale pomocí jednotlivých děl charakterizuje způsob jeho tvorby a výrazové prostředky, upozorňuje na proměny ve výtvarném vyjádření a odkrývá shodné figurální typy. V kratších kapitolách je pozornost také věnována utváření umělcova tvůrčího postoje, pedagogickému působení na Akademii, publikační činnosti a krátce i situaci po roce 1929, která dotváří obraz Rambouskova přínosu po technologické stránce. K nedílné součásti práce patří i její bohatý obrazový materiál.

Abstract:

During the early twentieth century renewal was a characteristic theme in the art of the Czech book. Apart from the decorative and symbolist approach, in the 1920s, Jan Rambousek as well begins to reflect on the book arrangement by means of the content illustration. This thesis not only systematizes Jan Rambousek‘s print work of the limited period of the 20s, but using the particular works also characterizes his methods and means of expression, highlights the changes in his artistic interpretation and reveals consistency in the figure types. In the shorter chapters, attention is also paid to the formation of his artistic stance, to his teaching at the Academy, publishing and briefly even to the situation after 1929, which completes the whole picture of Rambousek‘s contribution from the technological point of view. The rich visual material forms an integral part of the thesis.
