Operads - their theory and applications

Abstract:

V práci se věnujeme barevným nesymetrickým operádám v kartézsky uzavřené kategorii. Uvádíme pomínky, za nichž lze přenést modelovou strukturu kartézské modelové kategorie V na kategorii Q-algeber pro danou barevnou operádu Q z V. Kromě teorie, jež je potřeba k formulaci a pochopení tohoto známého výsledku, práce obsahuje i podrobný důkaz. Důkazy ve známé literatuře totiž vynechávají velké množství detailů. Výsledku pak využíváme pro zavedení modelové struktury na kategorii nebarevných nesymetrických operád (v různých kategoriích). Dále studujeme operádu associahedrů a přinášíme nezávislé výsledky o homotopických akcí monoidů.

Abstract:

This thesis studies coloured non-symmetric operads in a cartesian closed category. We give conditions under which one can transfer the model structure of a cartesian model category V to the category of Q-algebras for an operad Q in V. We present a detailed proof of this known result (proofs that appear in the literature skip a lot of details) together with all necessary background. Using this result we equip the category of non-coloured non-symmetric operads (in various categories) with a transferred model structure. We study the operad of associahedra and we present independent results on homotopy monoid actions.
