Subjective perception of rating of perceived exertion and some parameters of anaerobic threshold in patients with metabolic syndrome during exercise therapy

Abstract:

Cílem studie bylo zhodnocení vlivu dvanáctitýdenní pohybové léčby na funkční parametry anaerobního prahu, antropometrické parametry a subjektivní vnímání intenzity zátěže u pacientů s metabolickým syndromem. Srovnávali jsme hodnoty funkčních parametrů na úrovni RPE 11, 12 a 13 Borgovy škály před a po pohybové léčbě a stanovili jsme, který stupeň RPE nejlépe odpovídá úrovni ANP. Po absolvování pohybové léčby došlo k signifikantnímu zlepšení WANP, WANP.kg-1 a VO2ANP.kg-1 a zlepšení tolerance zátěže na úrovni ANP. Statisticky významně se snížila hmotnost, BMI i obvod pasu. Došlo také k signifikantnímu zvýšení hodnot W a W∙kg-1 na úrovni RPE 12. Hodnoty sledovaných parametrů na úrovni RPE 11 a 12 Borgovy škály nejlépe odpovídají úrovni ANP zjištěného při spiroergometrii před i po pohybové terapii.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the impact of 12-week exercise therapy on the functional parameters anaerobic threshold (AT), antropometric parameters and subjective perception of exertion in patients with metabolic syndrome. We compared values of functional parameters at the level RPE 11, 12 and 13 of Borg’s scale before and after exercise therapy and assessed the level of RPE best matching to level of AT measured during spiroergometry. After the exercise therapy, WANP, WANP.kg-1 and VO2ANP.kg-1 increased significantly and improvement of exercise tolerance at anaerobic threshold was found out. Values W a W∙kg-1 increased significantly at the level RPE 12. The final result of the study provides the fact that values at the level RPE 11 and 12 of the Borg’s scale correlate approximately with the values at the level AT assessed by spiroergometry before and after exercise therapy.
