Dissolution study of matrix tablets with indometacin

Abstract:

Práce zahrnuje krátkou rešerši zaměřenou na indometacin v pevných lékových formách a experiment zkoumající chování matricových tablet s obsahem této účinné látky při disolučních zkouškách. Zaměřuje se na vliv podmínek, jmenovitě pH a intenzity míchání, na množství uvolněné účinné látky v závislosti na čase. Matricové tablety připravené přímým lisováním byly podrobeny disolučnímu testu pádlovou metodou při 75 ot/min, 100 ot/min a 125 ot/min za konstantní teploty 37 °C v fosforečnanových disolučních médiích o pH 6,8 a 7,2. Množství uvolněné látky bylo stanovováno spektrofotometricky a vyhodnoceno ve formě disolučních křivek.

Abstract:

This thesis includes short research on indomethacin in solid dosage forms and experimental part investigating behaviour of matrix tablets containing this active substance by dissolution testing. It focuses on the effect of dissolution parameters, namely pH and agitation on the amount of active ingredient released at time. Matrix tablets prepared by direct compression were studied by dissolution testing using paddle method by agitation speeds of 75 rpm, 100 rpm and 125 rpm at constant temperature 37°C in phosphate dissolution buffers pH 6,8 and 7,2. Amount of substance released has been detected by spectrophotometry. Dissolution profiles were compared.
