Czech and Swedish market with children's books in the beginning of 21. century

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem práce je důkladně zmapovat trh s českou a švédskou originální intencionální literaturu určenou dětem a mládeži a představit čtenáři její současnou podobou. Čtenář se také dozvídá, jak se obě národní literatury vyvíjely od roku 1945 až do roku 2000 a je mu přiblížena situace na tehdejším literárním trhu v dobovém kontextu. Dále se práce zabývá analýzou trhu s literaturou pro děti a mládež v letech 2001-2015 ve Švédsku a poté v České republice a snaží se zevrubně zmapovat trendy a tendence literatury pro děti a mládež v té době. Důraz je přitom kladen na posledních pět let daného období, tedy roky 2011-2015, jež jsou podrobeny důslednějšímu rozboru. V poslední kapitole jsou potom výsledky výzkumu shrnuty a dochází ke srovnání švédského a českého trhu s literaturou pro děti a mládež v posledních pěti letech.

Abstract:

The main goal of the thesis is to map the Czech and Swedish market with a children´s literature and to present to a reader its current situation. The readers will also learn how both of those national literatures have developed in second half of the 21. Century, particularly between years 1945-2000, and they will gain the knowledge of the situation on the market with children´s books in the contemporary context. The thesis is also dealing with the analysis of the children´s literature market in the years 2001-2015 in Sweden and then in the Czech Republic and tries to map the trends and tendencies of the children´s literature in those years. The main emphasis is placed on the literature of last five years of this period, years 2011-2015, which are analysed more thoroughly. The last chapter of the thesis then summarizes and compares the results of the research and gives the picture of the situation on the children´s books market of last 5 years in both countries.
