„Debt busters“ – budget deficits EU countries in the light of financial crisis

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou dopadů finanční krize vzniklé na trhu hypoték v USA. Cílem práce bude objasnění dopadů krize na státní rozpočty vybraných států EU. V důsledku zvýšené dynamiky nárůstu dluhů a ve snaze udržet narůstající dluhy na uzdě byly státy nuceny provést rozpočtové škrty. Práce je rozdělena do tří větších částí, přičemž první se zabývá okolnostmi vzniku hypoteční krize v USA, druhá teoriemi hospodářského cyklu a v třetí bude popsán dopad krize na rozpočty zemí EU a přijatá vládní opatření.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with financial crisis, which emerged in mortage market in the U.S. The main aim of this thesis is to clarify impacts of crisis on budgets of selected countries of EU. The growth dynamics of increased debt and effort to hold these debts stable became the main reasons for budget cuts. The work is divided into three parts. The first one is about circumstances, how the mortage crisis was caused in the U.S. The second part contains theories of business cycle and in the last one, there is description of the impacts of crisis on budgets of EU countries and approved governmental measures.
