Information and disinformation in (post)covid era: content analyst of disinformation websites

Abstract:

ato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou dezinformací, jež byly šířeny o pandemii covid-19. Konkrétně zkoumá období, kdy panovaly nejpřísnější opatření proti šíření této nemoci a zahajovalo se očkování obyvatelstva. Hlavním cílem je pomocí obsahové analýzy poskytnout přehled o tom, jaké dezinformace se nejčastěji šířily, jaké měly téma a jaké prvky typické pro dezinformace byly v článcích použity. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. V první části, která je zaměřena teoreticky, se zabývá přiblížením pojmu dezinformace, vysvětlením, jak dezinformace působí na mozek a praktickými způsoby, jak ověřit, zda je konkrétní zpráva pravdivá či nikoliv. V praktické části jsou pak podrobně zanalyzovány tři české dezinformační weby. Výsledky analýzy se následně zasadí do kontextu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of disinformation that has been spread about the pandemic covid-19. Specifically, it analyses the period when the most stringent measures against the spread of the disease were in place and the vaccination of the population started. The main objective is to provide an overview, through content analysis, of what misinformation was most frequently disseminated, what the topic was, and what elements typical of disinformation were used in the articles. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part, which is theoretical, deals with an introduction to the concept of disinformation, an explanation of how misinformation affects thinking, and practical ways to check whether a particular report is true or not. In the practical part, three Czech disinformation websites are analysed in detail. The results of the analysis are then put into context.
