Company valuation and its role for company performance forecasting

Anotace:

This thesis investigates the importance of the company valuation by testing related valuation methods in financial performance of an active entity. The study is divided into main two parts. The first part provides theoretical evidences on company valuation concepts, by identifying and clarifying the approaches and methods used for company appraisals. The second part includes a practical valuation case on Suedzucker AG through various financial calculations and forecasting estimations. This ends with pertinent recommendations, with respect to the relevant valuation findings. For the credibility of the valuation performed by the author, some results were compared with other professionals.
