Potential health risks associated with long-term use of hormonal contraception

Abstract:

Název závěrečné práce je Možná zdravotní rizika spojená s dlouhodobým užíváním hormonální antikoncepce. Jedná se o teoretickou práci, která zahrnuje popis jednotlivých druhů hormonální antikoncepce a zdravotních komplikací spojených s užíváním tohoto typu antikoncepce. Na začátku práce je popsána historie používání různých druhů antikoncepce a jejich postupný vývoj. Cílem práce bylo popsat jednotlivá zdravotní rizika spojená s dlouhodobým užíváním hormonální antikoncepce zejména cévní a onkologická onemocnění.

Abstract:

The title of my final thesis is Possible Health Risks Associated with Long-Term Usage of Hormonal Contraceptives. This is a theoretical work which includes description of different hormonal contraception types and health complications associated with using them. At the beginning of the thesis the history of different types of contraceptives and their gradual development are described. The aim of the work was to describe different health risks associated with long-term use of hormonal contraceptives, especially vascular and oncological diseases.
