Mathematical tasks developing divergent thinking

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem diplomové práce Matematické úlohy rozvíjející divergentní myšlení je na vybraném vzorku učebnic prozkoumat množství konvergentních a divergentních úloh a posoudit jejich poměr. Stěžejní metodou sběru dat je analýza dokumentů. Práce má smíšený výzkumný design, kombinuje kvantitativní a kvalitativní přístup. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny základní pojmy a teoretická východiska, která jsou nezbytná pro empirickou část. Věnujeme pozornost rozvoji matematických schopností v mladším školním věku a ukotvení rozvoje divergentního myšlení v Rámcovém vzdělávacím programu pro základní vzdělávání ve vzdělávací oblasti Matematika a její aplikace. Empirická část je rozdělena na dvě části, kdy v první části se zaměřujeme na studium dokumentů (učebnic matematiky) a jejich analýzu. Na příkladech učebních úloh objasňujeme naše pojetí konvergentního a divergentního charakteru úlohy. V druhé části předkládáme autorskou sadu divergentních úloh, snažíme se zaznamenat zajímavé aspekty při jejich řešení žáky.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis on the subject of Mathematical exercises developing divergent thinking deals with the frequency of occurrence of mathematical problems in selected textbooks by collecting and analysing the documents in the textbooks. The thesis intends to combine research designs, namely, the quantitative and qualitative approaches to the topic. In the theoretical part, the necessary basic terminology and theoretical basis is presented in order to establish the empirical part of the thesis. The main focus is on the development of mathematical skills in younger learners and the solidifying of developing divergent thinking in standard methods used in teaching mathematics and its application. The empirical part is further divided into two parts. The first part analyses the selected textbooks used for teaching mathematics. The provided and analysed examples demonstrate the author's outlook upon the subjects of convergent and divergent mathematical problems. The second part presents the author's set of divergent samples in order to examine and observe the features of the problem solving process of the students.
