Domino game and its variations in pre-school education

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na využití hry domino a jejích obměn v předškolním vzdělávání. Cílem práce je vytvoření didaktického materiálu a ověření jeho účinnosti na vybraném vzorku dětí v mateřské škole. Teoretická část poskytuje nezbytné informace o vývoji dětí v předškolním věku, v kontextu kognitivního vývoje je zmíněn rozvoj matematických schopností, je vysvětlen princip hry domino. V empirické části byla provedena sonda o dostupnosti různých druhů domina na trhu pomůcek a v mateřských školách. V návaznosti na to byl vytvořen didaktický materiál. Je zde popsána tvorba a využití dominových sad v praxi. Při ověřování didaktického materiálu byla použita metoda pedagogického pozorování a rozhovoru.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the use of the domino game, and its variations in the pre-school education. The goal of the thesis is to establish didactic material, and to validate its efficacy on a group of children in the kindergarten. The theoretical part of the thesis presents the necessary information about the pre-school children development. In the context of cognitive development is mentioned the progress of mathematical skills and are explained fundamentals of the domino game. In the empirical part of the thesis a probe about the availability of different variants of domino game on the gadget market and in the kindergartens was made. Following the results, the didactical material was created. The didactical material depicts creation and usage of the domino sets in the practice. During the process of the didactic material verification a method of the pedagogical observation and interview was used.
