Volleyball slang and its usage in communication

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se zabývám volejbalovým slangem a jeho užitím v komunikaci. První část práce tvoří stručné teoretické pojednání o stratifikaci národního jazyka, dialektech a sociolektech, slangu a jeho diferenciaci a také o tvorbě slangových výrazů. Více pozornosti je věnováno sportovnímu slangu s ohledem na zaměření bakalářské práce. Druhá část se zabývá vyhodnocením dotazníkového šetření, které zkoumá znalost volejbalového slangu u respondentů z řad obyvatel České republiky. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, v jaké míře tito respondenti znají volejbalový slang a jak často jej v běžné komunikaci užívají.

Abstract:

In my thesis I deal with the volleyball slang and its use in communication. The first part consists of a brief theoretical discussion of the stratification of the national language, sociolects and dialects, slang and its differentiation and the formation of slang expressions. More attention is devoted to sports slang with regard to the focus of this thesis. The second part deals with the evaluation questionnaire that examines knowledge volleyball slang among respondents from the Czech population. The aim of this work was to determine the extent to which these respondents know the volleyball slang and how often they use it in everyday communication.
