Using computers in the teaching of written electronic communication (PEK) at the business college

Abstract:

V práci pojednávám o využití fenoménu konce 20. století při výuce psaní na klávesnici počítace desetiprstovou hmatovou metodou a o vyhotovení písemností v obchodní korespondenci. Hlavní část práce o písemné a elektronické komunikaci (PEK) věnuji používání programové výuky psaní ZAV na školách (web zav). Teoreticky vycházím z materiálů MŠMT ČR. V praktické části pojednávám o výuce realizované tradiční metodikou, především na ručních psacích strojích. Po pohledu do historie (klasifikace, státní zkoušky, soutěže, elektronické psací stroje) porovnávám tři učebnice psaní na stroji. Přes učebnici J. Zaviačiče Psaní na stroji pro samouky se dostávám k jeho programové výuce na počítači ZAV, která je e-learingovou individuální distanční výukou řízenou z jednoho centrálního pracoviště prostřednictvím internetu. Je šířena formou individuální domácí výuky a prostřednictvím verze programu pro školy s možností volby ze dvanácti druhů programů s neomezeným počtem pracovišť je i ve šk. roce 2005/2006 používána na středních školách. Autor přes mnoho druhů různých soutěží motivuje žáky i celé školy. Programová výuka ZAV je ve srovnání s ostatními programy - ATF, Deseti prsty, Psaní všemi deseti - svojí metodikou a propracovaností nejefektivnější. Většímu rozšíření ve školách i na pracovištích brání cenová politika autora. Dále pojednávám o využití PC v obchodní korespondenci: Pojednávám též o tematických plánech PEK na Obchodní akademii ve Zlíně a o výsledcích žáků ve výuce ZAV. V závěru píši o využívání webových stránek ve výuce a vzdělávání. V práci zařazuji přílohy.

Abstract:

ABSTRACT In this thesis entitled ``Using computers in the teaching of written electronic communication (PEK) at the business college{\crqq} I discuss the use of a phenomenon of the 20th Century in the teaching of typing on computer keyboards using the ten-finger touch-typing method and upon producing business correspondence. I have devoted the main body of the thesis to the use of the ZAV program for teaching typing in schools (see ZAV on the Internet). Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports material contained in 1998 vocational training standards and in 2002 teaching documents theoretically define the content of my work, e.g. in the graduate profile, key competencies, in working with information and in the general breakdown of PEK subjects, etc. In the practical part I discuss teaching using traditional methods, in particular on manual typewriters. Looking back into history this concerns, for example, matters of classification standards, state exams, regional and national competitions and the introduction of electronic typewriters. I have chosen and will compare three textbooks on typewriting. Through one of these books, ``Teach yourself typewriting{\crqq} by J. Zaviačič (1991), I get to his teaching program ZAV for learning typewriting on the computer. I remark on the operating systems MS DOS (T602 text editor) and Windows (Word text editor) and their use. The ZAV teaching program offering individual distance learning (e-learning) is controlled from one central workstation via the Internet. It is distributed in the form of individual home study courses and through versions for schools with the option of twelve types of programs for an unlimited number of workstations. Its author motivates students and even whole schools through competitions. The ZAV teaching program seems to be the most effective in comparison with other programs (ATF, Ten fingers, Typing with all ten) thanks to its methodology and sophistication.
