Tato práce se zabývá třemi adaptacemi Shakespearovy komedie Sen noci svatojánské. Jsou to konkrétně The Merry Conceited Humours of Bottom the Weaver (1661), The Fairy Queen: An Opera (1692) a The Comick Masque of Pyramus and Thisbe (1716), které se řadí mezi adaptace anglického restauračního divadla. Abstract:
The focus of this thesis is the analysis of three adaptations of Shakespeare’s comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream. These are The Merry Conceited Humours of Bottom the Weaver (1661), The Fairy Queen: An Opera (1692) and The Comick Masque of Pyramus and Thisbe (1716), all Restoration theatre adaptations.
