Strategic analysis of the BRAVO! theatre and Losers Cirque Company

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je provést strategickou analýzu vnějšího a vnitřního prostředí divadla BRAVO! a souboru Losers Cirque Company, která bude sloužit jako výchozí bod pro tvorbu strategie společnosti. Teoretická část se zabývá tématem strategické analýzy v kontextu strategického řízení v kulturním neziskovém sektoru. Je zde popsán postup pro tvorbu strategie v divadelním odvětví a teoretické vymezení modelů PESTEL, Porterův model pěti konkurenčních sil, VRIO a finanční analýza. Teoretická část rovněž obsahuje popis vzniku divadla a jeho uměleckého souboru spolu s popisem dopadů pandemie viru Covid-19, které tento vznik zásadně ovlivnily. V praktické části práce je provedena strategická analýza divadla BRAVO! a uměleckého souboru Losers Cirque Company pomocí výše zmíněných modelů. Diplomová práce nabízí doporučení na základě výsledků těchto analýz pro management společnosti. Propojení výsledků analýzy a navržená doporučení jsou shrnuty v závěru této práce.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is to conduct a strategic analysis of the external environment and internal resources of BRAVO! theatre and Losers Cirque Company, which can be used as the first step in creating strategy planning for the company. The Theoretical part describes strategic analysis in the context of strategic management in the cultural non-profit sector and continues by defining the application of methods of external and internal strategic analysis. Described methods are PESTEL, Porter's five forces analysis, VRIO, and financial analysis. The theoretical part also contains a description of the history of the theatre and its artistic company, together with a description of the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on this process. The practical part of this thesis is conducting a strategic analysis of the BRAVO! theatre and Losers Cirque Company using the above-mentioned methods. The diploma thesis offers recommendations for strategic management of the theatre based on the results of these analyzes. The interconnection of the results and the proposed recommendations are summarized in the conclusion of this work.
