Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the financial performance of a selected company

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je zhodnocení vlivu pandemie CO-VID-19 na finanční situaci podniků. První část diplomové práce se za-bývá teoretickým vymezením finanční analýzy, definuje její zdroje, uži-vatele a metody, které budou využity v praktické části. V praktické části je provedena samostatná finanční analýza společnosti Sonberk a.s. a jejího konkurenta Vinařství Lahofer, a.s. Výsledky finančních ukazatelů těchto společností se pak porovnávají mezi sebou a s odvětvím. V závě-rečné části je hodnoceno finanční zdraví vybraných společností a míra jeho ovlivnění pandemií COVID-19.

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is to evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the financial situation of companies. The first part of the thesis deals with the theoretical definition of financial analysis, defines its sources, users and methods that will be used in the practical part. In the practical part, a separate financial analysis of Sonberk a.s. and its competitor Vinařství Lahofer, a.s. is carried out. The results of the financial indicators of these companies are then compared with each other and with the industry. In the final part, the financial health of the selected companies and the extent to which it has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic is assessed.
