The process of changing values of users of drugs during the treatment in the therapeutic community

Abstract:

Práce využívající kvalitativní explorativní design se zaměřuje na proces změny hodnot u jedinců, kteří se rozhodnou léčit se z drogové závislosti a projdou léčbou v terapeutické komunitě. Výsledek práce by měl odhalit jednotlivé psychologické aspekty, které souvisí s uvědoměním si životních hodnot a se změnou nazírání těchto hodnot. Lidé participující ve výzkumu užívali drogu dlouhá léta a jejich život a přístup k němu v léčbě prošel radikální úpravou. V příbězích, které vyprávělo sedm participantů, se vynořilo několik témat souvisejících s proměnou hodnot. Tato témata souvisí s emocemi, motivací během léčby, s rolí blízkého okolí, které je během léčby důležité, proměnou vnímání sebe sama a právě proměnou uvědomování si důležitých lidských hodnot. Kulturně psychologický pohled umožňuje nazírat na tato témata jako na výsled-ky dialogických procesů participantů s pojetím lidského života a světa.

Abstract:

Qualitative exploratory study concerncs with the topic of the process of value changes. It concerns with people who want to cure themselves and they choose the therapeutic community for treatment. The result of the work should reveal the individual psychological aspects related to awareness of values and the changing of these values. People participating in this research were using drugs for many years and their lives underwent by radical treatment. The stories, which told me seven participants, there were emerged several topics related to the transformation of values. These topics related to emotions, to motivation during the treatment, to the role of our loved ones, to the changing self – image and to the changing of values. The perspective of cultural psychology is used to view these topics as results of dialogue process between the participants and their conception of their life and human world.
