The discovery of short poems called "kharjas" in 1948 changed radically the way scholars view the beginnings of Spanish literature. Many of them believe that these are the earliest lyrical manifestations ever written in a Romance language. Objavenie krátkych básní zvaných "jarche" v roku 1948 radikálne zmenilo pohľad vedcov na začiatky španielskej literatúry. Mnohí sa nazdávajú, že ide o najstaršie lyrické ukážky v románskom jazyku vôbec. Táto bakalárska práca sa zameriava na odraz lásky v španielsko-židovských muwaššahách a ich vzťah k jarchám.
