The role of massage in sports training

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou významu a využití sportovní masáže. Hlavním cílem práce bylo zjistit efektivitu sportovní masáže odstraňující únavu, na skupinu ledních hokejistů. Zjistit, zda má masáž pozitivní vliv na regeneraci sportovce a jak se tento efekt projevuje. Práce je rozděleno na teoretickou a výzkumnou část. Teoretická část obsahuje rešerši literatury, význam regenerace a sportovní masáže. Výzkumná část využívá výzkumný vzorek deseti ledních hokejistů k testování pomocí metod termografie, saturace tkáně kyslíkem a subjektivní vnímání bolesti před masáží a po ní. Z výsledků vyplývá, že sportovní masáž aplikovaná po sportovním výkonu za účelem odstraňující únavu má pozitivní efekt na sportovce. V experimentu došlo ke zvýšení teploty těla po masáži, ke zvýšení saturace tkáně kyslíkem, ale subjektivní vnímání bolesti se neprojevilo kýženým efektem, než jaký jsme čekali. Práce může sloužit jako objektivní pohled na problematiku sportovní masáže. Její zařazení do procesu sportovní přípravy shledáváme jako přínosný.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the importance and use of sports massage. The the aim of this work was to determine the effectiveness of sports massage removing tiredness in a group of ice hockey players. The task was to determine whether massage achieves positive impact on regeneration and manifestation of this effect. The thesis is divided into theoretical part and research. The theoretical part includes a literature review, the importance of regeneration and sports massage. The research uses sample of ten ice hockey players. They were tested using by thermography, tissue oxygen saturation subjective perception of pain before the massage afterwards. The results show that sports massage applied to sports performance for the purpose of removing tiredness has a positive effect on athletes. In the experiment, the following changes. An increase in body temperature after the massage, increase tissue oxygen saturation. However, the subjective perception of pain was not confirmed. The work may serve as an objective look at the issue of sports massage. Its inclusion in the process of sports training as we find beneficial.
