Social Politics within the EU Framework and social models

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je porovnání sociálních modelů ve vybraných členských státech Evropské Unie se sociálním modelem České Republiky a na jeho základě vyvození eventuálních negativ a pozitiv současného vývoje sociální politiky v České Republice. V první kapitole je představení historického vývoje sociální politiky jako takové, a dále jejího historického vývoje v České Republice a v Evropské Unii. Druhá kapitola obsahuje analýzu základních modelů sociální politiky a definici některých základních pojmů z oblasti teorie sociální politiky, především jejích funkcí a nástrojů. Třetí kapitola je zaměřena na vývoj jednotlivých politik, které jsou nedílnou součástí sociální politiky jako celku a na jejich aktuální podobu. Ve čtvrté kapitole je popis členských států Evropské Unie vybraných k závěrečnému porovnání a některé ukazatele jejich hospodářské situace z poslední doby. Na základě těchto poznatků se v závěru pokoušíme poukázat na některá nebezpečí, která hrozí České republice při současném politickém vývoji v zemi, a vyvozujeme opatření, která by měla být přijata k jejich zamezení.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is a comparison of social models in chosen European Union‘s member states with social model in the Czech Republic and subsequent elicitation of eventual negatives and positives of present development of Czech Republic´s social policy. The first part presents the historical development of social policy as such, and its historical development in the Czech Republic and the European Union. The second chapter includes analysis of the basic types of social models and the definition of some basic conceptions of the theory of social policy, especially its functions and tools. The third chapter is focused on the development of policies that are an integral part of social policy as a whole and in their current form in the Czech Republic. The fourth part introduce member states of the European Union selected for final comparison, and some indicators of their economic situation of late. Based on these findings, in the end we try to point out some dangers that threaten the Czech Republic in the current political developments in the country, and draw the measures, which should be taken to avoid them.
