Comparative analysis: involvement of the Czech Republic in KFOR and ISAF

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem předložené bakalářská práce je angažovanost ČR v rámci konceptu postkonfliktní rekonstrukce prostřednictvím svých zahraničních vojenských misí. Postkonfliktní rekonstrukce je nedílnou součástí mezinárodního systému, díky kterému se mohou jeho prvky - státy a mezinárodní organizace podílet na konceptu poválečné obnovy. S postupně vznikajícími konflikty se tento koncept dostává do stále většího popředí mezinárodního společenství. Česká republika se skrze svou zahraniční politiku staví k postkonfliktní rekonstrukci aktivně a snaží se solidárně podílet na mírové obnově zemí postižených konfliktem. Primárním cílem této práce je analyzovat angažovanost ČR v misi KFOR a v misi ISAF. Text práce se pokouší nalézt odpověď na otázku: "Jaké byly shodné a rozdílné rysy české angažovanosti ve dvou srovnávaných misích?".

Abstract:

The main topic of this bachelor thesis is the involvement of the Czech Republic in the concept of post-conflict reconstruction via its military missions abroad. Post-conflict reconstruction represents an integral part of the international system, through which its elements - states and international organizations could be involved in the concept of post-war reconstruction. With the gradually emerging conflicts, this concept draws attention of the international community. In its foreign policy, the Czech Republic faces the post-conflict reconstruction in an active and solidary way and tries to participate in the peaceful reconstruction of the countries affected by conflict. The primary objective of this work is to analyse the involvement of the Czech Republic in KFOR and ISAF. The text of the thesis tries to answer the question: "What were the identical and the different features of the Czech involvement in the two compared missions?"
