Impact of Surface Properties of Composites on Cell Adhesion

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na přípravu a charakterizaci kompozitních materiálů na bázi polyanilinu. V teoretické části jsou shrnuty dosavadní poznatky o kompozitních materiálech s vodivými polymery. V praktické části byla provedena syntéza různě modifikovaných polyanilinových kompozitů, a to především s příměsí nanočástic stříbra a siliky. Nejen syntéza polyanilinových prášků, ale také příprava filmů byla hlavní náplní této práce. Další krok zahrnoval měření materiálových charakteristik, mezi které můžeme zařadit povrchovou energii a měrnou elektrickou vodivost. Buněčná adheze a cytotoxicita byla testována pro vyhodnocení biologických vlastností materiálů. V poslední části byly vyhodnoceny antibakteriální vlastnosti pomocí diskové difúzní metody.

Abstract:

This thesis focused on the preparation and characterization of composite materials based on polyaniline. The theoretical part summarizes current knowledge on composite materials with conducting polymers. In the practical part the synthesis of various modified polyaniline composites, especially with the additions of silver nanoparticles and silica was performed. Not only the synthesis of polyaniline powders, but also the preparation of films was the main focus of this thesis. Another step included measurements of material characteristics, such as surface energy and a specific electric conductivity. Cell adhesion and cytotoxicity was tested to evaluate the biological properties of materials. In the last part was evaluated antibacterial properties by disk diffusion method.
