Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá zkoumáním regionálních voleb na Litvě v období 1992-2011. Aplikuje na ně dva klasické koncepty politické vědy: teorii druhořadých voleb a teorii volebního cyklu. Teoretická část práce stručně představuje oba koncepty. Zaměřuje se především na Dinkelovu teorii volebního cyklu a Reifovu a Schmittovu teorii druhořadých voleb z roku 1980. The presented diploma thesis deals with Lithuanian regional elections 1992-2011. The aim of the diploma thesis is to apply two classical theoretical concepts of political science: the theory of second order elections and the theory of electoral cycle.
