Abstract:
Většina infekcí spojených s lékařskými pomůckami je způsobena stafylokoky, především Staphylococcus aureus a Staphylococcus epidermidis. Kvasinkové infekce nejsou tak časté jako bakteriální, bývají však velmi závažné. Za většinu těchto infekcí jsou odpovědné druhy rodu Candida, zvláště Candida albicans. Abstract:
The majority of implant-associated infections are caused by staphylococci, especially Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis. Yeast infections are less common than bacterial infections but tend to be very serious. Candida species, particularly Candida albicans, are responsible for the most of these infections.
