Viral pneumonia in intensive care

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou Virové pneumonie. Virová pneumonie je častou příčinou hospitalizace na oddělení intenzivní péče v době sezonního výskytu. Mnoho lidí z řad laické populace nemá znalosti o možných komplikacích chřipky - Influenzae typu A či B. Chřipka je často považována za banální onemocnění, spojené pouze s mírnými respiračními projevy. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na diagnostiku a léčbu virové pneumonie. Dále uvádí nejčastější komplikace pneumonie, léčbu těchto komplikací, období rekonvalescence pacienta a základní možnosti monitorace pacienta v intenzivní péči při hospitalizaci virovou pneumonií. V praktické části diplomové práce byly vytvořeny dvě případové studie (kazuistiky) pomocí analýzy zdravotnické dokumentace a pozorování pacientů, kteří měli diagnostikovanou virovou pneumonie. Hlavním kritériem výběru byl pozitivní PCR test na chřipku typu A. Další kritérium spočívalo ve výběru respondentů, kteří měli ARDS s nutností umělé plicní ventilace. Cílem kazuistik bylo poukázat na náročnost léčby virové pneumonie a jejích komplikací.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of viral pneumonia. Viral pneumonia is a common cause of hospitalization in the intensive care unit at the time of seasonal occurrence. Many people in the general population do not know about the possible complications of influenza - Influenzae type A or B. Influenza is frequently considered a trivial disease, associated with only moderate respiratory manifestations. The theoretical part focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of viral pneumonia. The presented work also introduces the most common complications of pneumonia, treatment of these complications, the period of convalescence of the patient, and the basic possibilities of monitoring the patient in intensive care during hospitalization with viral pneumonia. In the practical part of the diploma thesis, two case studies (case reports) were created by analyzing medical records and observing patients who had been diagnosed with viral pneumonia. The main selection criterion was a positive PCR test for influenza type A. Another criterion was the selection of respondents who had ARDS with the need for artificial lung ventilation. The aim of the case reports was to refer to the complexity of the treatment of viral pneumonia and its complications.
