Ferroviatic flora of Ostrava-City district

Abstract:

Předkládaná práce shrnuje historii botaniky nádražních biotopů regionu severní Moravy a Slezska. Metodou terénního mapování za období 8 let (pouze v roce 2013 intenzivního a systematického) zkoumá flóru kolejišť okresu Ostrava-město, rozděleného na 9 mapovacích úseků. Přehled aktuální diverzity sledovaných stanovišť dosáhl počtu 2355 údajů 561 taxonů. Ve výsledcích pak komentuje mnohá nová zjištění a v diskusi se zaobírá způsoby migrací, původem nalézaných druhů, významem železnice jakožto refugia ohrožených druhů a podílem na rostlinných invazích.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis summarizes the history of botanical research of railway habitats in northern Moravia and Silesia. The railway flora of the Ostrava district was examined by the author during 8 years of field mapping. The mapping was intensive and systematic only in 2013. The studied area was divided into 9 mapping sections. Overview of the current habitat diversity is presented with the total of 2355 records and 561 taxa. New findings are commented. Migration patterns and origins of the species are discussed. The importance of the railway lines as a refugium for the threatened species and the routes of migration for the invasive species is also considered.
