Utilization of report mining with migration of new clients into payroll accounting systems according to German law

Abstract:

Diplomová práce popisuje extrakci dat z různých druhů dokumentů odlišnými způsoby v nadnárodní společnosti ADP. Přibližuje proces migrace mzdových dat, popisuje použití různých nástrojů pro extrakci velkých objemů dat a jejich použití v praxi. Hlavním cílem práce je zavedení a zhodnocení metod extrakce dat z dokumentů s ohledem na německou legislativu. Mezi vedlejší cíle patří především popsání teorie potřebné k pochopení celé problematiky a analýzy přínosů pro přesvědčení managementu o přínosech. Při práci je čerpáno z přiloženého seznamu odborné literatury a znalostí autora ohledně německého účetnictví. Práce je rozdělena do 6 hlavních částí. V první je popsáno působení autora ve společnosti ADP. Druhá část se zabývá teorií týkající se zavádění nových klientů do mzdových účetních systémů. Teorie, tykající se extrakce dat, je popsaná ve třetí části. Čtvrtá část se zaměřuje na nástroje sloužící k extrakci dat. Pátá část se věnuje praktickému využití extrakce dat na reálných příkladech analýzy přínosů. Poslední část je zaměřena na zhodnocení těchto praktických příkladů a možných vylepšení.

Abstract:

This thesis describes the extraction of data from different types of documents in different ways in company ADP. It approaches the migration process of payroll data with advices on how to use various tools to extract large volumes of data and their use in practice. The main goal of this work is the introduction and evaluation of methods for extracting data from documents according to the German legislation. The secondary objectives are mainly to describe the theory needed to understand the complexity and an analysis of benefits mainly to help management to decide for this solution. The main sources for this document are attached list of professional literature and knowledge of the author about the German accounting. The work is divided into six main parts. The first part describes the experience of the author in ADP. The second part deals with the theory concerning the introduction of new clients to payroll systems. Theories regarding the data extraction is described in the third part. The fourth part focuses on the tools used to extract necessary data from documents. The fifth part is devoted to the practical use of data extraction on real examples including analysis of benefits. The last part is focused on the evaluation of these practical examples and possible improvements or upgrades.
