Sexual Life of Women in Reproductive Age and in Climacterium

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem diplomové práce bylo porovnat sexuální život žen ve fertilním věku a v klimakteriu. Metodika: Výzkumný soubor tvořilo celkem 197 respondentek. Dotazníky byly distribuovány ve vybraných gynekologických a zdravotnických zařízeních v období od května do října 2015. Pro výzkumné šetření byl použit mezinárodní standardizovaný dotazník FSFI ? Female Sexual Function Index ? Index ženských sexuálních funkcí (Rosen et al., 2000), který hodnotí ženskou sexualitu za poslední 4 týdny v šesti doménách (touha, vzrušení, lubrikace, orgasmus, spokojenost a bolest). Výsledky: Ženy ve fertilním věku hodnotily jednotlivé oblasti sexuálního fungování pozitivněji než ženy v období klimakteria. S tím koreluje také hodnota celkového skóre FSFI, které měly vyšší právě ženy ve fertilním věku. Výsledky prokázaly také rozdíly v hodnotách indexů sexuálních funkcí při přihlédnutí k vybraným aspektům (rodinný stav, nejvyšší dosažené vzdělání a počet dětí). Většina oblastí sexuálního fungování je v pozitivním vztahu s četností sexuálního styku - s častější sexuální aktivitou dochází k lepšímu prožitku jednotlivých oblastí sexuálního fungování a to jak u žen ve fertilním věku, tak i v klimakteriu. Závěr: Bylo prokázáno, že s přibývajícím věkem dochází k postupnému zhoršení všech oblastí sexuálního fungování.

Abstract:

Aim: The aim of the thesis was to compare sexual life of women in fertile age and in climacterium. Methodology: The research sample consisted of 197 respondents. Questionnaires were distributed in selected gynaecological and medical facilities in the period May to October 2015. The research was conducted by international standardized questionnaire FSFI - Female Sexual Function Index - The index of female sexual dysfunction (Rosen et al., 2000), which evaluates sexuality for last four weeks in six domains (desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, satisfaction and pain). Results: Women of childbearing age evaluated individual sexual functioning more positively than women in climacterium. With this finding correlates well the value of FSFI total score, which was higher just in women of childbearing age. The results also showed differences in indices of sexual function while taking into consideration some aspects (marital status, educational attainment and number of children). Most areas of sexual functioning positively correlates with frequency of sexual intercourse - more frequent sexual activity leads to better experience the individual areas of sexual functioning, both in women of childbearing age and in climacterium. Conclusion: It was proven that all areas of sexual functioning gradually worsen with age.
