Czechoslovak-Liechtenstein Relations in the Years 1918 - 1948

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice československo-lichtenštejnských vztahů. Konkrétně je zasazena do období mezi lety 1918, kdy vznikla samostatná Československá republika, až 1948, kdy došlo ke komunistickému převratu. Začátek práce je věnován historii lichtenštejnského rodu na území pozdějšího Československa a České republiky a vzniku knížectví Lichtenštejnsko. Následující kapitoly se zabývají kritickým obdobím vzájemných vztahů po první a druhé světové válce, kdy došlo nejdříve k částečnému a poté úplnému zabrání lichtenštejnského majetku na území Československa a jejich dopadům na vztahy obou států. V závěru práce jsou krátce popsány postupné snahy o nápravu vztahů až do současnosti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of Czechoslovak and Liechtensteiner relations. Specifically, it is set in the period from the year 1918, when the independent Czechoslovak Republic was established, to the year 1948 which was marked by the Czechoslovak coup d'état by the Communist Party. The beginning of the work is dedicated to the history of Liechtensteiner dynasty occupying the territory of later Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic and to the establishment of the Principality of Liechtenstein. The following chapters concern the critical period of their mutual relations after the I. and II. World War, during which the Liechtensteiner property, situated on the territory of Czechoslovakia, was at first partly then fully confiscated. In conclusion, there are gradual efforts to remedy their relations briefly described.
