Evaluation and Selection of Promising Genotypes of Apricots from the Breeding Program of the Institute of Fruit Growing

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaobírá hodnocením vybraných fenologických a pomologických znaků meruněk. Dále se zabývá laboratorní analýzou, kde se měřil obsah titrovatelných kyselin, vitamínu C (kyseliny L-askorbové), fenolických látek, flavonoidů a obsah antioxidační kapacity. Stanovovaly se ve slupce, v dužnině, ale i v MIXu, který byl složen z 20 % slupky a z 80 % dužniny. Experiment probíhal v roce 2020 na pozemku Zahradnické fakulty Mendelovy univerzity v Brně, na Ústavu ovocnictví v Lednici. V experimentu se s pracovalo hybridy LE-6016, LE-5500, H.873, LE-5959, LE-8555, H.997/134, LE-7222, LE-1102/52, H.1116/0/2020, H.848, H.871, H.987/490, LE-9900, H.987, H.1102/91, H.1077/poslední, H.994, LE-11866, LE-11909, H.970/135 a Pozdně kvetoucí. Pro porovnání s hybridy byla použita odrůda ´Velkopavlovická´, která byla hodnocena ve stejném roce. Znaky se hodnotily dle deskriptoru pro druh Prunus armeniaca L. V teoretické části je zahrnut původ a rozšíření meruněk, botanická charakteristika, morfologické znaky, nároky na pěstování, šlechtitelské cíle, šlechtění v České republice a v zahraničí, odrůdový sortiment, odrůdy nové generace, nutriční hodnoty a jejich vliv na lidské zdraví. Výsledky byly patřičně zpracovány do grafů a tabulek.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of selected phenological and pomological features of apricots. It is also focused on laboratory analysis, where was measured titrable acidity, vitamin C (ascorbic acid), phenolic substances, flavonoids and antioxidant kapacity. It was determinated in the skin, pulp, but also in the MIX, which was composed of 20 % of skin and 80 % of pulp. The experiment took place in 2020 on the side of the Faculty of Horticulture, Mendel´s University in Brno, at the department of Fruit growing in Lednice. The experiment worked with hybrids LE-6016, LE-5500, H.873, LE-5959, LE-8555, H.997/134, LE-7222, LE-1102/52, H.1116/0/2020, H.848, H.871, H.987/490, LE-9900, H.987, H.1102/91, H.1077/poslední, H.994, LE 11866, LE-11909, H.970/135 and Pozdně kvetoucí. For comparasion with hybrids, was used the variety ´Velkopavlovická´, which was evaluated in the same year. The features were evaluated according to the descriptor for the species of Prunus Armeniaca L. The theoretical part includes the origin and expansion of apricots, botanical characteristics, morphological traits, cultivation requirements, breeding goals, breeding in the Czech Republic and abroad, variety assortment, new generation varieties, nutritional values and their inpact on human health. The results were appropriately processed into graphs and tables.
