Abstract:

V rámci této prace jsou prozkoumány různé aspekty autentizace založené na heslech. Nejprve jsou popsány metody ukládání hesel a zhodnoceny z bezpečnostního hlediska. V další kapitole jsou rozebrány útoky na zahashovaná hesla a jsou navrženy rozličné způsoby obrany. Dále jsou popsány útoky na přihlašovací mechanismy a prozkoumány obranné strategie. Závěrečná část diplomové práce odhaluje nový nástroj pro testování síťové bezpečnosti, který umožňuje vytvářet masivní útočné sítě propojením počítačů spolupracujících uživatelů.

Abstract:

In this thesis various aspects of a password based authentication are described. First, methods of password storage are compared and evaluated from a security standpoint. In the next chapter, attacks on password hashes are evaluated and different methods of protection suggested. Then attacks on login mechanisms and diverse defense strategies are explored. Last part of the thesis describes a novel security testing tool that allows building massive bruteforcing networks of cooperating users.
