Multicriterial analysis of ecological onus of packaging materials

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je vybrat takový typ obalového materiálu, který by co nejméně zatěžoval životní prostředí. V úvahu je vzato 22 různých typů obalů a 7 kritérií, která jsou při tomto rozhodování zásadní. Rozhodovací proces bere v úvahu náročnost samotného obalu z hlediska výroby, nákladů, užití i následného zpracování. Zároveň pohlížím na problém ze třech různých úhlů pohledu, což zajistí rovnoměrné výsledky, které budou vyhovující pro obě strany, které by se podobným problémem mohly zabývat. Zkoumám také, zda všechna zahrnutá kritéria jsou pro výpočet nutná. Konkrétně testuji nadbytečnost jednoho binárního kritéria, jehož informace je částečně uložena v kritériu jiném. Pro řešení tohoto rozhodovacího procesu bylo využito metod vícekriteriálního rozhodování, konkrétně metody: TOPSIS, MAPPAC, ORESTE a ELECTRE I. Řešení této úlohy bylo zajištěno softwarovým programem Excel s rozšířením SANNA.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to choose a type of packaging, which burdens the environment the least of all. I took into consideration 22 different types of packaging with 7 criteria, that are crucial by decision making. Decision process involves all kinds of difficulties, such as production or transportation costs, usage, and following elaboration. Also, we look at the problem from three different angles of view, so that we could get efficient results that will correspond with needs of both sides which would be involved into this decision-making process. We also research whether there are some criteria included, that are not necessary for the calculation. Specifically, we test redundancy of one criterion, whose information is partially included in another criterion. Multicriteria decisions making was used to solve this problem, specifically TOPSIS, MAPPAC, ORESTE and ELECTRE I. To solve this problem the Excel software with SANNA add-in application were used.
