Streamlining the supply logistics processes in a selected enterprise

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je racionalizace procesů v oblasti zásobovací logistiky ve vybraném podniku. Diplomová práce je složena ze dvou částí, a to z teoretické a aplikační části. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny nejdůležitější pojmy týkající se daného tématu. V závěru teoretických východisek jsou rovněž uvedeny všechny postupy a metody, které byly použity při zpracování této práce. V aplikační části je provedena analýza současného stavu zásobování ve společnosti Aluprogress, a.s., analýza ABC a následně je pomocí patřičných metod navržen nový způsob řízení zásob. Opatření zahrnuje stanovení optimální výše pojistné zásoby a dále návrh a výpočet vhodných objednacích systémů. Nově navrhovaná strategie by mohla přispět ke zlepšení procesu zásobování a efektivnějšímu řízení zásob, které mohou vést ke snížení vázanosti kapitálu v zásobách, ale také k úspoře pořizovacích i skladovacích nákladů.

Abstract:

The subject of the thesis is to streamline the processes in the field of the supply logistics in the selected company. The diploma thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and application sections. The theoretical part explains the most important concepts related to the subject being investigated. At the end of the theoretical foundations, all the procedures and methods, which were applied during elaboration of this thesis, are specified. In the application part, an analysis of the current state of supply process in the company Aluprogress, a.s., as well as ABC analysis are processed, and then, a new methodology of inventory management is proposed using appropriate methods. The measure includes the determination of the optimal amount of safety stock and also the calculation of appropriate ordering system. The newly proposed strategy could contribute to an improvement of the supply process as well as more efficient inventory management, which can lead to a reduction in capital tied up in inventories, but also to saving in acquisition and storage costs.
