Abstract:

Rwandská genocida byla připravována a vykonávána na základě etnické příslušnosti. Etnické rozdělení a vzrůstající nevraživost měly vícero příčin a vliv kolonizátorů byl často označován za jednu z nich. Bakalářská práce Role Belgie ve Rwandě od kolonizace až po Rwandskou genocidu zkoumá, jakým způsobem Belgie pomohla eskalaci nenávisti mezi Hutuy a Tutsii a zda tím nepřímo přispěla ke genocidě z roku 1994.

Abstract:

The Rwandan genocide was prepared and executed on the basis of the ethnic affiliation. Ethnic division and increasing animosity had multiple causes and the colonizer's influence was often described as one of them. The bachelor thesis The role of Belgium in Rwanda from colonization to the Rwandan genocide studies how Belgium helped the intensification of hatred between Hutus and Tutsis and whether it contributed indirectly to the 1994 genocide.
