Philosophical term „praxis“ in the conceptions of Karel Kosík

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá filosofickou kategorií praxe. První část práce je analýzou filosofického pozadí pojmu praxe v německé klasické filosofii a analýzou okolností samotného vzniku kategorie praxe v materialistické ontologii Karla Marxe. Druhá část práce je analýzou pojetí praxe u Karla Kosíka v Dialektice konkrétního. Poslední část práce je jednak kritickým srovnáním Kosíkovy ontologie s Frankfurtskou školou a marxismem východního bloku, jednak je pak závěrečná část i pokusem o náčrt možných spojnic mezi Kosíkovým progresivním pojetím praxe a soudobými kategoriemi postmarxistických ontologií. Hlavním cílem práce je osvětlit Kosíkovo pojetí praxe a obhájit jeho přetrvávající relevanci.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the philosophical category of praxis. The first part is an analysis of the philosophical background of the concept of praxis in German classical philosophy, than it's also an attempt to describe the circumstances of the origin of the category of praxis in the materialistic ontology of Karl Marx. The second part is an analysis of the concept of praxis developed by Karel Kosík in his Dialectics of the Concrete. The third part of this work is a critical comparison of Kosík's ontology and both the western Marxism of Frankfurt School and the Marxism of the Eastern bloc. Finally the last part of the thesis is an attempt to outline the possible links between Kosík's progressive concept of praxis and the contemporary categories of post-Marxist ontologies. The key aim of the thesis is to shed light on the Kosík's concept of praxis and to defend its persistent relevance.
