Posturographic examination of girls with idiopathic scoliosis using tetra - ataxiometry

Abstract:

Idiopatická skolióza je nejčastějším onemocněním páteře, které se projevuje zakřivením osového orgánu ve frontální rovině. Tato deformita postihuje všechny struktury, které přiléhají k oblasti postižení. Dochází k deformaci obratlů, intervertebrálních kloubů, žeber a změnám svalového tonu axiálních svalů. Tato diplomová práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a na část praktickou. V teoretické části jsou shrnuty teoretické poznatky získané ze studií, zabývajících se problematikou idiopatické skoliózy, její etiologií a posturální kontrolou u skoliotických pacientů. Dále je v této části zpracována literatura týkající se posturografické metody tetra-ataxiometrie a její využití v posturálním hodnocení skoliotických pacientů. V praktické části jsou zpracována data 17 skoliotických dívek s různými stupni Cobbova úhlu a lokalizací skoliózy v oblasti hrudního úseku páteře. U těchto dívek byla hodnocena posturální kontrola pomocí metody tetra-ataxiometrie. Parametry posturální kontroly dívek s IS byly porovnány s kontrolní skupinou zdravých dívek, která obsahovala 32 probandek. Výsledky práce prokázaly, že dívky s IS mají horší posturální kontrolu stoje než zdravé dívky v kontrolní skupině. Bylo zjištěno, že velikost Cobbova úhlu koreluje s horší posturální kontrolou. Dále jsme zaznamenali, že aplikace korzetu nemá na hodnocené parametry posturální kontroly významný vliv.

Abstract:

Idiopathic scoliosis is the most common disease of the spine, which is manifested by curved body axis in the frontal plane. This deformity affects all structures adjacent to the field of disability. It leads to a deformation of the vertebrae, the intervertebral joints, ribs and changes in muscle tone of axial muscles. This master thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical section summarizes the theoretical knowledge gained from studies dealing with idiopathic scoliosis, its etiology and postural control in scoliosis patients. Furthermore, this section focuses on the processing of literature regarding posturographic methods tetra-ataxiometrie and its use in the evaluation of postural scoliosis patients. In the practical part is processed data 17 scoliotic girls with varying degrees of Cobb angle and localization of scoliosis in the thoracic region of the spine. For these girls postural control was assessed using the method of tetra-ataxiometrie. Postural control parameters girls with IS were compared with a control group of healthy girls, which included 32 probands. The results of the work showed that girls with IS had worse standing postural control than healthy girls in the control group. It was found that the size of the Cobb angle correlates with poor postural control. Furthermore, we observed that the application does not have a corset on the parameters evaluated postural control a significant impact.
