Celtic Elements in Yeats’s Early Poetry and Their Influence on Irish National Identity
Abstract:
Práca rozoberá ranú poéziu W. B. Yeatsa v súvislosti s historickým a kultúrnym pozadím Írskeho národného obrodenia. Dáva do súvislosti keltské prvky v Yeatsovom diele – či už mytologické alebo folklórne – s procesom vytvárania írskej národnej identity na konci 19. storočia.
Abstract:
The thesis analyses the early poetry of W. B. Yeats set against the cultural background of the Irish National Revival and connects the Celtic elements Yeats’s uses in his work – whether mythological or folkloric – with the process of self-fashioning of the Irish national identity in the late 19th century.
