Hockey as Inaccessible Institution? The Issue of Success from the Perspective of Institution and Player.
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se věnuje fenoménu profesionálního sportu, konkrétně ledního hokeje. Je zaměřena na cestu hráčů k úspěchu a překážky, které musí překonat. Zabývá se pohledem hráčů a jejich rodin na prostředí profesionálního sportu a také institucí ledního hokeje a jejím přístupem k hráčům. Práce je založena na datech z terénního výzkumu, který proběhl v rámci konkrétního hokejového klubu.
Abstract:
This masters thesis is concerned with the phenomenon of professional sport, namely with ice hockey. This thesis focuses on the journey of players to success and difficulties, which they have to overcome. It deals with views of players and their families on milieu of professional sport and institution of ice hockey and its approach to players.
